Let’s go back to the bookshelf today for another out-of-print gem. Today’s message is from the Love Spell Book by Gillian Kemp. Snow Queen/Queen of Unrequited Love. There is the possibility of attracting the wrong sort of partner right now. Someone mistakes your kindness for a personal interest in him or her; you are just trying to be nice but someone could develop a crush. Can you blame them? You are gorgeous and you’re very charming! Be aware that this can happen and watch your step a little bit. You don’t want to hurt somebody if you can avoid it. Whatever you do, don’t flirt with someone you are not interested in! That kind of behavior will be misunderstood big time right now. You might have to let someone down easily. Be as kind as you can in this situation, but recognize that you haven’t done anything wrong and set healthy boundaries. If this person keeps calling after a firm no, then you might have to take further steps. But hopefully not. Hopefully one honest conversation can resolve things.
If you are suffering from unrequited love yourself right now, you have my deepest sympathies. It sucks. I know! But if this person doesn’t see how wonderful you are, he or she does not deserve you. Most of the great art in the world is born out of the agony of unrequited love … but that’s cold comfort right now. Take shelter and lick your wounds.
