A Little Bit of a Melancholy Spell

Monday’s message is from the Tell a Fortune Cards by Daphne. 7 of Hearts. This card represents self-doubt and moodiness. You might be going through some kind of a melancholy period right now. You need help, information, and Divine guidance, but you also feel kind of angry and like you can’t get out of your own way. You might not even know what to ask for when you pray. That’s okay, that’s actually the best prayer. Hold out your hands with the palms up, close your eyes, and take three deep breaths. This is a very vulnerable, receptive, and trusting posture and it is a wonderful way of receiving grace. You can either ask God for help or just offer him your problems. Your dreams come into play now also. Over the next few weeks, you are going to fall into bed exhausted and be carried to the other side where you can get some answers. You might not feel much different when you wake up, but you are downloading guidance and change is going to come over time. This is a period of struggle for you, because our Western cultural conditioning tells us to suck it up, pull yourself up by your bootstraps, stand on your own two feet, etc.; but sometimes the best way to get back on track is to abandon all effort and let God do it for you.
