Turn to God over a Betrayal

Today’s message is from the playing cards. Five of Spades. Hurt feelings and betrayal. You may hear something that disappoints you today. Someone you thought of as a friend has been scheming to harm you, cheat you, deprive of something that is rightfully yours, or just talking about you behind your back. Try not to take it personally. In the long term, discovering the truth about this person will turn out to be a blessing. He or she is the one who will lose out in the end because the two of you can’t be friends anymore. This is a good time to tighten your perimeters. Sit quietly and consider any recent unpleasant interactions with friends or family. Did you have it coming? Or are you just being treated like a punching bag? You do not deserve that. It might be time to distance yourself from some of the people in your life. Someone who has hurt you always has the option to apologize … but don’t hold your breath. I know I go on and on about prayer, but please turn to God now, even if this is not your default setting 🙂 God will protect you from anything that is being plotted behind your back and guide you out of harm’s way. Anything your enemies are trying to use against you will prove futile. You might not even know what a close call you had because God can solve the whole thing before it happens.
