Resist Temptation Today

Today’s message is from the Spirit Song Tarot by Paulina Cassidy. The Devil. Watch yourself, now. You’ve been doing great. You’re taking care of yourself. Working hard. Repairing any relationship problems. You have a renewed interest in health and wellness and that includes your spiritual life. God feels very close. You know what else draws close when things are going well for you? The Devil. There is a reason why I am referring to this card by its traditional name instead of the gentler “Shadow” that Ms. Cassidy uses here. The devil is stalking you. It’s nothing to be afraid of but please be AWARE. The devil is a real spiritual being but it hates everything and everyone that was created by God. Including itself. When you start to get on your feet and feel better about your life, it’s going to try to take you down. I have a lot of friends who would define their beliefs as “spiritual, but not religious” and don’t believe in the existence of the adversary. I never correct them but when it rears its ugly head, I’m there. “I see you, you iittle b****.” The devil is real. It hides in the shadows of your life and will never completely leave you alone while you are on this earth. Be cautious and pay attention. Take an honest look at your vices and inventory the unkind or unhealthy acts you commit over and over again. Deep down you know what they are. That’s probably where you are going to get hit, in a vulnerable spot. There could also be short term trouble with your job, a financial issue, or a minor disagreement with a loved one. It could try to disturb your inner peace with outside stimuli. Stay calm, speak kindly to everyone, or if you can’t manage that just remain quiet. Pray for help. The reason you have attracted the attention of the fallen angels is because you are back on the right track. It’s a backhanded compliment and nothing to fear.
