Give Yourself Some Time before Making a Crucial Decision

Don’t let yourself be pressured to sign a lease, take a job, or even accept a date for coffee if it doesn’t feel right. If the other party is trying to rush you into signing on the dotted line, then this is the wrong thing for you. When it is the right time to move forward, you will know. It’s often tempting to look back on some of the forks in the road of your life and think, “I chose the wrong path. What a missed opportunity.” The voice in your head that’s feeding you that information is lying to you. That’s the devil sporting with you. Every choice you have ever made has led you along the path that is right for you. God knows how to course correct you if you get off track :). When the time to make a decision next presents itself, take three days to think it over. A little time will reveal any flaws in the plan. If you feel rushed or pressured, that’s God’s way of telling you this might not be the right situation for you. If, after three days, it still seems like a good idea, go for it.
