You Might find yourself Bored Today

You wake up feeling like you can’t get out of your own way but you’re not sure why, exactly. Finances are in better order than they have been. The house is tidy. Work goes all right. Still, you feel like smacking someone. There’s a chance you might be dealing with some depression; even if you have never dealt with mental health issues before, they are pretty common at this time of year. Talk to your doctor and rule out anything medical if this feeling persists. On the other hand, you could just be bored. Take on a new project. Pick up a book you have been meaning to read, start a blog, do a crossword puzzle and a logic problem a day, dust off the step under your bed and do aerobics with choreography. Your mind is craving new challenges now. Feed your brain new stimuli and see how it improves your mood. The Queen on this card looks uncannily like one of my neighbors. She used to lie in wait for me to pass her house on my walk and come running out to join me. “I’d walk every day too but I need someone to entertain me!” I finally had to spell it out for her: I like to walk by myself 🙂 The answer to your current state of ennui probably isn’t to latch onto someone else. Challenge your mind to conquer something that you have shied away from in the past and see how much better you feel about everything.
