Let’s do a Saint of the Day today instead of a card message. Saint Benedict has been poking his head in lately. Saint Benedict founded the Benedictine Order around 1215. He lived his life as a monk in solitude and physical deprivation to allow him to focus solely on Jesus. That’s true love. Benedict is EXTREMELY powerful. He is invoked against all evils of body, mind, and spirit. The medal of Saint Benedict is inscribed with the command, “Vade retro, Satana,” which means “Go behind me, Satan. Do not tempt me.” If you know the devil is real, or even if you don’t, Benedict will protect you. This short prayer to him covers just about every danger you could think of. He also works miracles if you are dealing with any kind of anxiety or depression. The devil never plays fair, my friends. If you are anxious, depressed, or just have a cold, he will come around and mess with you. Take your Vitamin C for the cold, please consult your doctor if you are dealing with any mental or emotional problems, and entrust your spiritual wellbeing to Saint Benedict. He’s got you covered.
A Prayer for Personal Protection
Dear Saint Benedict, I thank God for showering you with His grace to love Him above all else and to establish a monastic rule that has helped so many of His children live full and holy lives.
Through the cross of Jesus Christ, I ask you to please intercede that God might protect me, my loved ones, my home, property, possessions, and workplace today and always by your holy blessing, that we may never be separated from Jesus, Mary, and the company of all the blessed. Through your intercession may we be delivered from temptation, spiritual oppression, physical ills, and disease. Protect us from drug and alcohol abuse, impurity and immorality, objectionable companions, and negative attitudes. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN
