There is a Chance to Patch Things up with Family Now

Today’s message is from the Oracle of Shadows & Light by Lucy Cavendish. Three Witchy Sisters/the Power of Three.

You will soon be called upon to offer help, forgiveness, or understanding to a family member. Someone has made a mistake and needs your assistance. Maybe your son lost his job and taps you for a loan; your pregnant granddaughter split up with her boyfriend and doesn’t have a place to live; your sister who hasn’t spoken to you for a year calls out of the blue to rant at you. She’s off her meds and it’s the same old dynamic between the two of you, the same sad story. You may be fresh out of sympathy and suffering from compassion fatigue. Try to be there for a troubled relative anyway. God will help you to shoulder this burden. If you are grieving a rift in your family and waiting for someone to come back around, take heart! There will be a reunion before the end of this year. You might have to resolve to put the past in the past and let bygones be bygones, but you are strong enough to do that. Pray for the grace to let go of resentment, anger, and bitterness now. It’s time to patch things up if there is even a ghost of a chance. Family can be ugly, messy, and crazy, but they are not disposable. Please take this message to heart. I know I will. God bless you and have a great day –
