Your Great Idea is about to Go Public

Something you have been working on quietly on your own for the last year or more is about to come to light and make a positive impact. All of a sudden everyone wants to hear what you have to say. Your business idea, creative project, or invention is getting a lot of attention. You might win an award in your industry and start lining up some speaking engagements. Depending on what you have been working on … an invitation to talk to the media is not out of the question. Before you go public, consult an attorney and make arrangements to protect your brainchild as well as you can. No sense working on this for so long just so someone unscrupulous can steal it. Be humble, listen to all the questions you are asked before you answer, and when in doubt, try to appear wise and enigmatic. I like to take a big sip of my water when I am stumped in a reading 🙂 It buys a little time. Your long time pet project is ready to see the light of day.
