It is Okay to Grieve Now

Today’s message is from the Gilded Reverie Lenormand cards. Man + Coffin. You might find yourself dealing with grief now. You have experienced an ending, a loss, or even a bereavement. A lot of readers try to put a more positive spin on the Coffin in the Lenormand deck, or on the Death card in the Tarot. Not me. Your life has changed irrevocably and it is out of your hands. Change is awful and scary and unfair. Your pain may seem unbearable but you must endure his process. You don’t want to try to bury your feelings; they will just go into hiding and bide their time to jump out at you again. Wrestle with your pain now and be done with it, no matter how long it takes. If you’re sad, be sad. If you’re angry, be angry. If you want to yell at God, go for it. He knows what you are thinking anyway. Surround yourself with people who support you and have empathy for what you are going through. If you have a friend or loved one who has experienced a bereavement, be there for them. Sit with them quietly and take your cue from them about what they need. This is not about you. When my mother died, it was very comforting talking to others who had lost their mothers. I thought to myself, “They are walking and talking. They made it. So will I.” This is your time to grieve, but if you have the courage to face it, this process will have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Take all the time you need.
