What are you working towards right now? Cleaning up the house to prepare for the holidays, or maybe a move? Finishing a work project and turning it in done well on time? Maybe you are trying to take off twenty pounds and you have resolved to get to the gym most days and eat more healthfully. Maybe, like me, you are rehabbing from an injury. Ask God to help you with your long term goals, then just do the next thing. Break this pursuit into smaller steps and work on one of them today. You don’t have to figure everything out all at once. This is not a sprint, it is a marathon. You can definitely achieve this. Keep your eyes on the long term endgame, but focus on what you can do in the here and now to move closer to the finish line.
