A Hidden Enemy is Unmasked

Someone has been talking about you behind your back and they are about to get caught. I know gossip does not usually bother you – right? – but this is a more serious matter. This person’s mutterings could hurt your professional reputation. A well-meaning friend comes to you and lets you know what he or she has heard. It might be tempting, but don’t shoot the messenger. This person is coming to you not to upset you but to give you the chance to defend yourself. He/she will also stand by you when you go to management. This hidden enemy might have even succeeded in holding you back from advancement in your job, but the tide is turning in your favor now. This could result in their demotion or dismissal. Too bad, so sad. Failing a God ordained change of heart and making amends, I love it when the bad guys get theirs, especially at Christmas. It really is a wonderful life some days 🙂
