Monday, October 28, 2019: Make a Wish

Today’s message is from the Deviant Moon Tarot. The 9 of Cups. Do you still believe that wishes come true? I hope you do. One of the things I have learned over so many years of talking to clients about their hopes, dreams, and wishes is that you really have to want it. In other words, someone else’s dream for you is probably not going to materialize. If your mother always told you that you should be a great pediatrician like her father was, but you want to work in broadcasting, well, then you might have some trouble finishing medical school. If you really wish for something with all your heart and you are willing to work for it, nothing can stop you. A strong wish with emotion, heart, and drive behind it will make you magnetic. You might have to be patient and wait a while, but it is going to happen.

Be honest with yourself today. What is the true desire of your heart? Maybe you want to take a trip to Africa, write a novel, or buy a condo at the beach. Maybe you are thinking about a change of career after age 40 because you always wanted to be a nurse, but the thought of starting over scares you to death. Maybe you are very fortunate indeed to look at your life and realize your wishes have already come true. Maybe it is time to wish for something new.

Make a wish today and send it out into the world. It does not have to be something life changing or long term. For example, you could wish that someone brings donuts into the office or that you hit all the green lights this morning. Many years ago when I was still a receptionist, I had a crush on a bike messenger and I used to wish for him to come by that day. Never failed. The point is to experiment a little bit and see how powerful your wishes actually are. Once you start to see that you can wish for something and manifest it, you can start working on bigger dreams.
