Card of the Day: Courage

Today’s Card of the Day was drawn from the Archangel Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue.  

In this situation, you need to act upon your convictions, even if others disagree … as you stand up for your beliefs, you are a role model for others.  This is an important form of spiritual teaching, in which your example gives others courage to also stand up for their own principles.”  

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a dinner party.  I did not want to go.  The hosts in question have no respect for my work, what I do, or how I live my life.  It gets old trying to come up with new ways to defend my life choices, especially as it is no one else’s business.  I was toying with the idea of bailing out of the dinner – after all, I could have made an excuse and no one would have questioned it.  I made the mistake of praying for help and heard God’s answer loud and clear.  You will attend the dinner and you will set an example by your own good behavior.  Case closed.  Game over.  I attended … ate … drank, not too much … and all was well.  My detractors looked kind of tired and deflated for the first time.  Even though I had to go through the experience, I was protected.

How do you need to stand up for yourself today?  Maybe a loved one is taking advantage of your good nature and it’s time to draw the line.  Perhaps you have to argue on behalf of a colleague who is being treated unfairly.  An important conversation or meeting is imminent and you will be called upon to stand your ground.  Call on God and the angels for help with this.  Archangel Ariel helps us set healthy boundaries, express righteous anger, and correct wrongdoing.  Whenever I invoke Ariel, my head clears and I can think better.  You might even feel a rush of physical energy.  Call on Ariel for help with any issues that require courage today and then follow the guidance you receive.  Ariel will help you stand up for yourself in a loving way that will ultimately benefit everyone.
